BULGARIA will extradite a man arrested in connection with 71 refugees found dead in an abandoned truck on an Austrian motorway.

Tsvetan Tsvetanov, 32, is suspected of being one of the drivers of the lorry found with decomposing bodies, including a baby girl, inside.

Three Bulgarians and an Afghan were arrested by Hungarian police on August 28 in connection with the tragedy.

Tsvetanov’s extradition to Austria has already been postponed twice by Bulgarian authorities.

Bulgarian prosecutors have charged him with being part of an organised crime group.

Tsvetanov, who denies any wrongdoing, was held for 72 hours under a European arrest warrant at his home in Lom on August 31.
