Nigerian football player affected by visa hitch

Home-based Super Eagles defender, Samson Gbadebo, is still trapped in Nigeria as he is yet to receive his entry visa to link up with his colleagues in their Pretoria, South Africa training base ahead of the African Nations Championship, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The Lobi Stars centre-back failed to travel with the rest of the squad last Saturday as his visa was not ready.

His passport, Completesportsnigeria.com learnt, was not submitted on time to the South African embassy due to his late arrival in camp as replacement for the injured Christian Madu.

He was expected to link up with his teammates on Tuesday, but he is still in the country awaiting the issuance of his visa.

“I’m awaiting words from the secretary, Dayo Enebi on when I will be leaving the country,” Gbadebo informed Completesportsnigeria.com .

“We are expected to travel together to South Africa and I hopefully, every thing will be sorted out before the end of the week.”
